Vancouver police investigating homicide after young woman found dead on city’s east side

Police say they are investigating a homicide following a death in Vancouver’s Renfrew-Collingwood area on Saturday morning.

Officers were called out around midnight PT on Saturday to a home in an area near Rupert Street and Euclid Avenue on the city’s east side, according to the Vancouver Police Department.

Police say they found a woman in her 20s dead at the scene while a second victim, a male in his 20s, was found injured and taken to hospital.

Police say they have arrested a 46-year-old suspect, but the individual was not identified and no additional details were released.

Investigators are asking anyone with information on the case to contact police.

VPD’s GeoDASH database shows the city has seen 10 homicides during the first 10 months of this year, down from 13 during the same period in 2023.
