RCMP say they are investigating a report of sexual interference at a Surrey, B.C., aquatic centre on Saturday.
In a statement issued Tuesday, Surrey RCMP say a preliminary investigation indicates a 21-year-old man allegedly kissed a female teenager at the Grandview Heights Aquatic Centre.
RCMP said that they were called to the centre just past 7 p.m. PT on Saturday.
They said they arrested the man at the scene, and he was released on conditions to not attend the centre or contact the victim.
An RCMP spokesperson said the age of the teenager would not be disclosed in order to protect her privacy.
The charge of sexual interference is an age-specific charge that, according to the Criminal Code, involves touching a person under the age of 16 for a sexual purpose. Police have not yet confirmed a charge in the case.
