Police investigate fatal shooting in Surrey

Surrey RCMP say they responded just after 8:45 a.m. Friday to a shooting in the residential area of 164 Street and 10 Avenue. They found a man who had suffered injuries and died at the scene.

Police in Surrey are investigating a fatal shooting Friday morning.

Surrey RCMP say they responded just after 8:45 a.m. Friday to a shooting in the residential area of 164 Street and 10 Avenue. They found a man who had suffered injuries and died at the scene.

RCMP said the suspect fled in a truck. 

A short time later, police located a burned vehicle on McMillan Road. They are investigating whether it’s connected to the homicide. 

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team is now working with Surrey RCMP on the investigation, according to the news release.
