A school bus crash on Highway 97 near Lac La Hache has closed the road in both directions.
First responders are on scene, police say
A school bus crash on Highway 97 north of Lac La Hache has closed the road in both directions at Butler Road.
Police say they were called on Friday at approximately 1 p.m. PT.
Students on the bus were on a field trip, according to Ciel Patenaude, board chair of the Cariboo-Chilcotin school district.
First responders are on scene.
RCMP are asking people to avoid the area.
