Drive-by shooting targets business in Vancouver’s Yaletown

Police say there are no known injuries after a Yaletown business was peppered in a drive-by shooting Wednesday morning.

Police aren’t naming the business, but a VPD cruiser was seen in the afternoon parked in front of Isabelle’s, a cocktail bar on Hamilton Street.

A closer inspection of the bar’s exterior reveals small holes puncturing a plastic patio enclosure, an awning and a cracked windowpane. A number of the holes are marked with stickers bearing ruler-like markings or handwritten letters.

Police say the shooting took place just after 8 a.m. when the business was closed.

They said the suspect or suspects are unknown, as is any motive.

“The investigation remains ongoing,” a spokesperson said.
