The end of Taylor Swift’s epic, multi-year, international Eras Tour is fast approaching, with the three final shows set for Vancouver on Dec. 6-8.
From dance parties to drag events to crafting fun, the city is gearing up to welcome T.S.
Whether you managed to snag a ticket or not, here are some events for Swifties happening in the lead-up to, during, and in the wake of Swift’s Vancouver shows.
Catfe Vancouver: The Meowras Tour Disco Pawty
When: Tuesday, Nov. 5, 7 p.m.
Where: Catfe Vancouver, 2305-88 W. Pender St., Vancouver
Every Swiftie knows how much their idol loves her cats. You can celebrate in true Taylor fashion at the Vancouver Catfe’s singalong party. Swift-inspired treats and drinks will be available and each attendee will receive a friendship bracelet.
Taylor Swift Drag Brunch
When: Saturday, Nov. 30, noon-3 p.m.
Where: The Lamplighter Public House, 92 Water St., Vancouver
Hosted by local drag queen Xana, this drag brunch features Swift-inspired cocktails and brunch features.
Countdown to the Eras Tour Music Bingo
When: Dec. 1, 6-9 p.m.
Where: Townhall Langley, 19640 64 Ave., Langley
Competitive Swifties can test their knowledge while playing bingo to Taylor Swift’s music. The event will feature Taylor-themed prizes and performances by drag queen Carrie Dawn, known for her T-Swift imitation.
Taylor Swift-themed scavenger hunt
When: Dec. 3-6
Where: Downtown Vancouver
Destination Downtown will illuminate the city’s core with 13 Taylor Swift-themed lighting installations, including the new Swiftcouver sign at Canada Place. Those who are used to seeing the Vancouver sign will notice that the “V-A-N” letters have been swapped out for “S-W-I-F-T” to prepare for the superstar’s arrival.
Destination Downtown also posted an online map to showcase where to find the 13 installations. For every location fans visit, they can collect a digital stamp to enter for a chance to win tickets to see Swift at B.C. Place.
Science World After Dark: Eras Edition
When: Dec. 4, 6-9 p.m.
Where: 1455 Quebec St., Vancouver
People can spend one night doing a sing-along dance party, Swift-inspired trivia, sound science and more. This event is for people 19 years old and over.
Cost is $45.
Joy of Drag — Night of Taylor Swift
When: Dec. 4, 7 p.m.
Where: The Portside Pub, 7 Alexander St., Vancouver
Drag queens Carrie Dawn and Jo Duree will perform a Swift-inspired tribute show, followed by a night of Taylor jams starting at 10 p.m.
Swiftie Sing-Along
When: Dec. 5, 6-9 p.m.
Where: CAVU Kitchen Bar, 5911 Minoru Blvd., Richmond
The event will offer Swift-themed drinks and food, with sing-along.
Entry is free. Food and drinks are not included.
Taylor Swift trivia and karaoke at the Vancouver Christmas Market
When: Dec. 5 from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Where: Jack Poole Plaza, 1055 Canada Pl., Vancouver
People can test their knowledge of Taylor Swift’s lyrics and albums while competing for fun prizes through Swift-inspired activities.
Cost is $31.99.
Vancouver Foodie Tours, The Eras food tour
When: Dec. 5 to 7, Dec. 8 and Dec. 13.
Where: Granville Island Public Market, 1689 Johnston St.
The Taylor Swift-themed Granville Island Market tour will feature dishes inspired by Swift’s iconic songs and favourite bites. The food tour will be mixed with Swift-related history, fun facts and the exchange of friendship bracelets.
Tickets are $119.
Canyon Lights, Taylor’s Version
When: Dec. 5-9
Where: 3735 Capilano Rd., North Vancouver
The Canyon Lights at Capilano Suspension Bridge will transform into a giant friendship bracelet. Taylor’s Version of Canyon Lights features Swiftie-themed photo opportunities, music, bracelet-making and special attractions.
Tickets run from $24.95 for children six to 12, and $71.95 for adults.
Taylor Swift Karaoke Trolley Tour
When: Dec. 5, boarding starts at 2:15 p.m.
Where: Tours leave Canada Place, 99 Canada Pl., Vancouver
Swifties are welcome to join the Great Canadian Trolley Co. for a tour and to sing their favourite Swift songs while exploring some of the city’s most iconic landmarks, including Stanley Park, English Bay and Library Square.
Tickets are $65.50.
Taylor Swift Karaoke Bus Tour
When: Dec. 5-8, pickup at 6 p.m.
Where: Meeting at Canada Place, 99 Canada Pl., Vancouver
People can take a Swift musical journey while touring Vancouver on Grey Line’s double-decker buses.
Cost is $65.
YWCA Hotel’s Shake it Off for a Cause
When: Dec. 5-9
Where: 733 Beatty St., Vancouver
The YWCA hosts a five-day event by donation to celebrate the long-awaited arrival of the Eras Tour in Vancouver. Enter the YWCA Hotel and take in the Eras-themed decor, take a few photos at their backdrop and make friendship bracelets.
Attendance is by donation.
The Eras Pre-party
When: Dec. 6 and Dec. 7, 3-6 p.m.
Where: Bentall Centre, 505 Burrard St., Vancouver
For those looking to get hyped up for the concerts, the Bentall Centre is hosting an afternoon pre-party before the first two concert dates. It includes friendship bracelet making, concert bag decorating, a DIY patch station and photo stations.
TaylorTown in Yaletown
When: Dec. 7, noon-5 p.m.
Where: 338 Helmcken St., Vancouver
Helmcken Plaza near Yaletown-Roundhouse station has been transformed into TaylorTown, where fans can pose for photos and enjoy light displays. There will also be a giant digital birthday card for Swift, whose birthday is Dec. 13.
The event is free.
Eras Tour Drag Brunch
When: Dec. 7 and Dec. 8, 11 a.m.
Where: Ventura Room, 695 Cambie St., Vancouver
On the mornings of the first two Vancouver concerts, Ventura Room — conveniently located right around the corner from B.C. Place Stadium — is hosting Taylor Swift drag brunches, also hosted by Carrie Dawn.
Afternoon Delight Drag Brunch: Reputation
When: Sunday, Dec. 8, noon-3 p.m.
Where: The American, 926 Main St., Vancouver
The American is hosting a drag brunch in honour of Swift’s Reputation album on the morning of the third concert. Are you ready for it?
The End of an Era Club Night
When: Sunday, Dec. 8, 9 p.m.
Where: Levels Nightclub, 560 Seymour St., Vancouver
Following the last scheduled show of the entire Eras Tour, Levels Nightclub is hosting a dance night for the Swifties who can’t get enough. Whether you’re still glowing from the concert, went to an earlier date, or didn’t get tickets at all, all are welcome.
Swifties Fan Party
When: Thursday, Dec. 12 and Friday, Dec. 13, 3:30-4:30 p.m.
Where: Vancouver Public Library, Oakridge branch (Dec. 12) and Hastings branch (Dec. 13)
A family-friendly, kid-geared event for those from kindergarten to Grade 7, the VPL’s post-show Swiftie events will include crafting and trivia.
Swiftmas Dance Party
