3 men stabbed on Vancouver’s Granville Street within minutes of each other: police

The Vancouver Police Department (VPD) says it received three reports of people being stabbed within minutes of each other Monday night.

At 9:40 p.m. PT, VPD responded to reports that a 33-year-old man had been stabbed in the back on Granville Street, near Nelson Street, police said Tuesday in a statement.

Minutes later, police got another call that a 41-year-old man had been stabbed near Granville and Davie Street.

Police said a 32-year-old man was stabbed near Nelson and Granville Street around 9:52 p.m. as patrol officers were responding. It’s unclear what the men’s injuries are, but police say they are recovering.

A suspect was arrested downtown and is currently in custody, according to police. They have not released any details about the suspect and continue to investigate.

“There is no indication that any of the victims knew each other or the suspect,” police said.
