The BC Highway Patrol says a serious collision Thursday afternoon south of Boston Bar has resulted in the death of two people.
The RCMP says officers responded to a collision at the Ferrabee Tunnel around 2 p.m.
A Thursday release said, “Upon arrival it was determined that a collision had occurred, resulting in the death of two people.”
Police say Highway 1 remains closed in both directions as the they investigate the cause of the crash.
The BC Highway Patrol is asking anyone with information or video regarding the collision to contact 604-702-4039 and quote file number 2024-28948.
Drive BC says no detour is available yet. Congestion in the area and surrounding corridors can be expected.
