Summer is finally here and that means one thing for many people – music festival time. FVDED 2024 once again takes place at Holland Park in Surrey and the lineup this year was off the charts. Many of the acts booked have literally taken off in the last year so there was no shortage of talent to choose from across the three stages. Unfortunately, we couldn’t be everywhere but here’s our highlights.
FVDED in the Park Night One in Surrey
Once we arrived and got checked in we headed to the Pacific Stage. High on my list of acts I wanted to see live was Joy Anonymous. They didn’t disappoint with a fun and chill set.
Next up was Ahadadream. Ever since I saw his Boiler Room set, I’ve wanted to see his interesting mix of influences on the decks. He also had the benefit of the Northwest stage and its sun shelter in the blistering heat of the afternoon. The capacity crowd went off when his collaboration with Skrillex, Taka, came on although we enjoyed many of his other tracks even more.
After a bit of rehydration and downtime, we headed back to the Pacific Stage to see another high on my list to see people: John Summit. His high energy set and infectious smile didn’t stop for the full hour. He literally seems to be having more fun than anyone at the festival. Such a great set. Many fans also appear to have him do their taxes as well #iykyk
After an extremely quick turnaround, Diplo showed up to show everyone how it’s done. I’ve been following him practically from the beginning and he consistently delivers the bangers and fresh remixes of his and his collaborations. We were so caught up in Diplo (and deep in the crowd) that we missed Chase and Status….next time!
We ended the night with Swedish House Mafia whose hour and half set was brimming with their classic tracks and newer songs.
After a long, hot, sweaty day in the sun, it’s hard to pick a favourite with so many amazing performances but John Summit is competing with Ahadadream for top of our list this year. It was also great to see Uncle Diplo again. Shout out to the visual artists too….every set had fun and unique visuals to backdrop the artists.
Until next time!
