Driver injured after hitting hydro box in Surrey

A driver has possible life-threatening injuries after their car drove off the road and hit a hydro box, the Surrey RCMP says.

Officers were called out to reports of the single-car collision on Highway 99 at the 32rd Avenue Interchange around 2:20 a.m. Saturday.

32nd Avenue was shut down for a period of time, but has since reopened.

The driver was the only person in the car.

Anyone with information or dash cam footage is asked to call the Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502 and quote file 2024-97896.
