Vancouver offers plenty of opportunities for families to spend time together at fun events and an array of family-friendly attractions. Throughout the summer, there are tons of kid-focused activities that make exploring the city an exciting outing for the whole family.
Family Fun Sundays

Any Vancouver Canadians baseball game, particularly the earlier scheduled “Nooners at the Nat,” is a treat for the whole family. Still, Family Fun Sundays at Rogers Field at Nat Bailey Stadium are an especially great chance for families to come out to the ballpark and enjoy a great Minor League Baseball (MiLB) game in the warm summer glow.
These Sunday games, scheduled at 1:05pm for convenience, feature special attractions and activities for families with young children, including different giveaways, mascot meetups, food trucks, and kids under 12 getting a chance to run the bases post-game.

Disney’s Frozen Live

Animation fans, come alive for Broadway Across Canada‘s North American touring production of Disney’s Frozen. The hit Broadway musical based on the blockbuster animated princess movie comes to Queen Elizabeth Theatre from July 9-21.
From the producer of The Lion King (coming in August) and Aladdin, the spectacular Tony Award-nominated show for Best Musical will play a special two-week premiere engagement in Vancouver after completing its record-breaking Broadway run. Since debuting in 2019, the North American tour of Frozen has welcomed more than two million guests.

Summer Camp at the Gallery

Register for the five-day Summer Camp at the Gallery held from July 22-26. Young artists (ages 7-10) will get a chance to discover the Vancouver Art Gallery (VAG) as they look at, think about, discuss, and create art in creative new ways.
Attendees will be introduced to the current exhibitions on display, Emily Carr: A Room of Her Own; Black and White and Everything in Between: A Monochrome Journey; and Of and About Posters: The Lawrence Weiner Poster Archive, through interactive projects and tours.
Using these collections as inspiration, campers will then experiment in-studio with a variety of art forms to make original works of art of their own. Participants’ artwork produced during the week will then be exhibited for parents and other guests on the final day of camp.

Country Fest

Head to the free Maple Ridge–Pitt Meadows (MRPM) Country Fest, the 123-year-old agriculturally focused festival featuring 4-H clubs from across the province, local artisans, food trucks, and live entertainment, that attracts 20,000 attendees each year at 23448 Jim Robson Way from July 27-28.
Prepare for a fun weekend promoting the education of agriculture to bring together rural and urban people in an atmosphere of wholesome entertainment and good sportsmanship. Enjoy entertainment like horse drill teams, gymkhana, live music, home art displays, lumberjack show, beer garden, classic car show, and amusement park rides.
