Two popular outdoor festivals are returning to Burnaby this summer, and it will take guests on a culinary journey across the globe.
The Pinoy Festival is taking place at Swangard Stadium on Saturday, July 22, with live entertainment, a fashion show, and more.
The Burnaby venue also hosts Fiji Festival 2024 on Saturday, July 13, which includes soccer tournaments, kids’ zones, and other activities.
Both events are free to attend and will feature a variety of food trucks and vendors.
The lineup of food vendors has yet to be announced, but both Filipino and Fijian cultures are renowned for their delicious cuisine.
Some of the most popular Filipino Street Foods that you may try at the Pinoy Festival include chicharon bulaklak, pansit, ginanggang, and BBQ skewers.
Visitors to the Fiji Festival may discover dishes such as fish suruwa, curries, and Purini, among others.
In addition to food vendors and food trucks, there will be artisan and community booths, cultural performances, art exhibits, and family-friendly activities for all ages.
