Man dead after stabbing in Burnaby, police say

One man is dead after a stabbing in Burnaby, B.C., on Monday evening, according to RCMP.

One man is dead after a stabbing in Burnaby, B.C., on Monday evening, according to RCMP.

Police said they responded to a report of a stabbing on the 3800-block of 1st Avenue near Ingleton Avenue around 6:15 p.m. PT and found a man unconscious with life-threatening injuries.

First responders tried life-saving measures but the man was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.

Investigators have not released the man’s identity or age. No arrests have been made in the case, which has been taken over by the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team.

Police are looking to speak to witnesses or anyone with dashcam video who was in the area, just east of the municipal boundary with Vancouver, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
