This small town near Vancouver was just ranked as one of the ‘most charming’ in Canada

Canada is full of magical small towns and one of the most charming towns happens to be close to Vancouver.

This B.C. town was recently named among the “most charming” in North America and it’s only an hour away from downtown Vancouver.

This quaint town is filled with boutiques, cozy cafes, trendy restaurants, parks, museums and art galleries.

The ranking for the most charming small towns in North America was determined by online slots site Betway. The company looked at towns across Canada and in the U.S. It then analyzed things like positive sentiments, and the number of landmarks and parks.

Langley, B.C. took the second spot on the list.

In its ranking, Betaway explains that Langley has 13 parks, more than any other Canadian town on the list. Derby Reach Regional Park was highlighted as one of the prettiest.

“Langley has the second most landmarks at 17, as well as the joint second most museums; alongside 211,000 monthly searches on Instagram, on average,” according to the study.

This B.C. town has a lot to offer anyone who comes to visit.

Langley is the Fraser Valley’s premier wine destination with tours available throughout the region, according to the town’s tourism website.

You can also head to the Canadian Museum of Flight, one of the golf courses, or stroll along a nature trail.

Langley is also home to the historical Fort Langley, which looks like it’s straight out of a Hallmark film. Located along the Fraser River, Fort Langley has vintage shops inside colourful buildings, galleries and cafes.

You can also learn about the town’s history when visiting the Fort Langley National Historic Site. It’s at that site where B.C. was proclaimed a British colony.

The town’s landmark yellow Community Hall is also famous, having been featured in movies and TV shows.

Throughout the summer, you can check out the Fort Langley Village Farmer’s Market every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. There’s also the Fort Langley Night Market that has dozens of local vendors, food trucks and live music.

So if you haven’t been to Langley, this is your sign to add it to your summer travel plans. The town is less than an hour away from Vancouver’s downtown and it’s even possible to get there without a car.

As for the most charming town in Canada, the study ranked it as Whitehorse in Yukon and the most charming town overall in North America is Decatur, Georgia.
