Four sent to hospital after serious collision in Surrey; street closure in effect

Four people have been taken to hospital — one with possible life-threatening injuries — after a serious collision in Surrey Saturday morning, Mounties say.

Mounties say they responded to a report of a three-vehicle collision on 192nd Street just after 10 a.m.

“Due to the serious nature of the collision, 192nd Street is expected to be shut down for a considerable period of time and may impact commuters,” the Surrey RCMP said.

“Police kindly request that the public plan alternate routes.”

According to the RCMP, 192nd Street will be closed in both directions between 38th Avenue and 40th Avenue until further notice.

Anyone who witnessed the accident or who may have dash cam footage is asked to call the Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502 and quote file 2024-78114.
