Snow expected on Coquihalla Highway, Environment Canada says

If you’re planning to drive on the out-of-town highways on Wednesday, be warned there’s a chance of snow on the Coquihalla Highway between Hope to Merrit.

Environment Canada says traces of wet snow and reduced visibility in the snow are expected.

“An upper trough of low pressure is continuing to bring a cool airmass to the southern interior,” it said in a statement.

The weather service says snow levels are forecasted to be at higher elevations bringing a mix of rain and snow.

It also says the weather in the mountains can change suddenly which can cause hazardous driving conditions.
