Police in New Westminster are calling for witnesses after a teenager was attacked with pepper spray at a high school last week.
Police say the incident happened at New Westminster Secondary School on the morning of May 17.
The New Westminster Police Department says officers responded to a call at 11:20 a.m., found the teen who had been assaulted, and arrested an adult and another youth.
Police told CityNews that the adult who used the pepper spray is in their 30s.
The victim reportedly did not need paramedic services and was able to direct police to their alleged assaulters, but investigators are now seeking more information.
“Investigators are asking anyone who witnessed the assault to please reach out to investigators about what they saw,” said Sgt. Andrew Leaver. “Photos and videos of what took place would be helpful for investigators.”
If you have information to share, police say please call 604-525-5411 and reference file 24-7937.
