Port Moody police have arrested two 12-year-old boys in connection to the assault of a girl at a SkyTrain station on Monday.
On Tuesday, May 7, 2024, the Port Moody Police Department’s Youth Services Section was tipped off about a video depicting an assault near the Moody Centre SkyTrain Station from the afternoon prior.
In the video, police say, two boys are shown assaulting a girl while bystanders appear to encourage the attack.
The Port Moody PD says it was not notified at the time.
Police say they have since identified the suspects. Officers arrested and released them “with conditions.”
Reports say the victim sustained minor injuries and the motive in the incident remains unclear.
The Port Moody PD is asking anyone with more information to contact its investigators.
