Victoria police (VicPD) say one man is dead after a stabbing in the city’s downtown core early Sunday morning.
Police were called out to Pandora Avenue near Douglas Street around 4 a.m., where VicPD found the deceased and another person, who was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
A portion of Pandora Avenue has been closed to traffic.
One person has been taken into custody and the Vancouver Island Major Crime Unit has taken control of the investigation.
The VicPD says there is no risk to the public.
