Police on the lookout for a missing Abbotsford man

The Abbotsford Police Department (AbbyPD) is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing 27-year-old man.

Police say Wesley Bosman was last seen on foot at 3 a.m. on Tuesday, April 23 near Ash Street and Cedar Avenue in Abbotsford.

Bosman is described as Caucasian, 6’2, 120lbs, with short, dark blonde hair, and an orangish/brown moustache with traces of a beard.

He was last seen wearing a black long-sleeve shirt and navy blue jogging pants.

Abbotsford Police Media Relations Officer Jody Thomas says Bosman’s disappearance is “out of character.”

“We’re extremely worried about his well-being,” she said.

Thomas tells CityNews that Bosman does not have any history with the police or a history of depression.

“His family is extremely worried that he would disappear like this,” she said.

She says the family has gathered multiple people from the public, family members and friends to do searches.

“They’ve actually been working around the clock,” she said.

She says air support and police dogs are also searching for Bosman. She says officers have been searching both urban and forested areas.

“We’ve been canvassing neighbourhoods and pulling CCTV. We have exhausted all our measures and that’s why it’s so important that we have the public’s help in keeping an eye out for him,” Thomas said.

The AbbyPD’s General Investigative Section is actively searching for his whereabouts.

It asks Bosman or anyone with information to get in touch.
