It seems like a staple destination for celebrating a lottery win, with a Canadian winner saying he’s planning to take his family to Disney World thanks to his newfound windfall.
Brent Krawchuk of Stony Plain, Alberta, won $200,000 on a $7 Lucky Lines Extravaganza Scratch & Win ticket last month.
Krawchuk told the Western Canada Lottery Corporation (WCLC) that he scratched his tickets while in the car on his way home from purchasing them.
“I saw some zeroes and was trying to figure out if it was $200 or $2,000 that I had won,” he said. “When I got home, I scanned the ticket on my app and saw the amount.”
“It’s just unbelievable to think you just have this ticket, win, and then you get $200,000!” he quipped to the WCLC.
Krawchuk has his sights set on taking care of his family with his win, along with a trip to the classic spot to celebrate a big lottery win.
“I plan on paying off some bills and then taking a family holiday to Disney World!” he said. “It hasn’t sunk in fully yet — It’s hard to comprehend.”
Krawchuk purchased his $7 Lucky Lines Extravaganza Scratch & Win ticket from Canadian Tire Gas Bar at 16125 Stony Plain Road in Edmonton.
