2 in hospital after serious motorcycle crash in Vancouver Tuesday

A serious crash involving a motorcycle sent two people to hospital and closed a Kitsilano intersection for hours Tuesday night.

The Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA) says seven ambulances responded to the scene of the crash at Cornwall Avenue and Balsam Street in Vancouver around 4:30 p.m.

“Paramedics provided emergency medical treatment for three patients at the scene. Paramedics transported two patients to hospital,” said Diana Stepczuk with PHSA.

The Vancouver Police Department confirmed that crash involved a motorcycle and another vehicle, but declined to share any further details.

The intersection remained closed for several hours and has since been reopened.
