Harry & Meghan Went On A Double Date With A Canadian Celeb In BC & Here’s Where They Ate

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were in Vancouver last week and the couple was spotted dining at a couple of restaurants in the city.

During one of their nights out, the royal couple went to an Indian restaurant and they were joined by a Canadian singer and his wife.

Harry and Meghan were in B.C. to attend training camps leading up to the 2025 Invictus Games that will be held in Vancouver and Whistler.

During their visit, the pair went to Vij’s, a popular Indian restaurant on Cambie Street in Vancouver.

The restaurant’s chef Vikram Vij shared photos from the visit on February 15 on his Instagram pages.

“What a magical evening! Had the incredible pleasure of meeting Prince Harry and Meghan Markle last night,” he wrote alongside a photo with the couple.

“Such genuine and down-to-earth individuals.”

The couple was joined for dinner by Canadian singer Michael Bublé and his wife Luisana Lopilato.

“An unforgettable evening hosting the incredible @michaelbuble and his lovely wife @luisanalopilato! Hoping our dishes hit all the right notes, just like Michael’s timeless melodies!” Vij wrote online.

Speaking to CTV News Vancouver after the visit, Vij raved about Harry and Meghan and said the four celebs met kitchen staff and thanked them for their meals.

He shared that Harry and Meghan ordered the naan, paneer, curry and the chef’s signature lamb popsicles. Vij also noted that the food was a bit spicy for Harry, but Meghan loved the heat.

“I think for [Harry], the food was a little spicier,” Vij told CTV News. “He actually himself said, ‘Do you know I’m a ginger? Which means when I eat spicy food, I get red?'”

“And she had the goat meat, which is the spiciest dish on the menu. She loved it.”

This isn’t the first time Vij has cooked for royals. The chef told People he cooked for Harry’s brother, Prince Willian and Kate Middleton during their visit to Vancouver in 2016.

Vij’s restaurant wasn’t the only restaurant Harry and Meghan dined at in B.C., they also stopped by an Italian spot on February 14.

The Daily Mail reports the British royal and Meghan denied at Il Caminetto in Whistler. The outlet shared photos of the pair entering the restaurant, with Meghan wearing a red sweater for the Valentine’s Day meal.

In an interview with People, Harry and Meghan shared how much they enjoyed being back in Canada.

“We loved being back in Canada, a place so meaningful to both of us,” the Duke and Duchess of Sussex told People.

“It filled our hearts to once again be surrounded by Canadian people, food and culture. We felt the Invictus spirit and excitement throughout Whistler and Vancouver, and are so grateful to all our hosts for organizing such a memorable visit. We’re counting down the days until we return!”

The couple’s three-day visit to B.C. concluded with a banquet on February 17 at the Vancouver Convention Centre.
