The TransLink Store is bringing holiday cheer to commuters and public transit enthusiasts with the opening of its physical pop-up shop at Waterfront Station for two days only this week.
Whether you’re looking for quirky stocking stuffers, limited-edition items, or everyday essentials themed after Metro Vancouver’s public transit system, the pop-up promises something for everyone.
According to TransLink’s The Buzzer Blog, the 2024 holiday collection of the TransLink Store includes a matching holiday pullover, toque, and scarf.
Other gift ideas include wooden train sets of SkyTrain’s Mark I, Mark III, and future Mark V trains and the West Coast Express, and SkyTrain and SeaBus ornaments.
Beyond the holiday collection, the TransLink Store’s regular merchandise line offers apparel for women, men, and children, as well as accessories, home decor, and maps.
All of these items can be beautifully wrapped in transit-themed wrapping paper, adding a unique and festive touch to your gifts.
The TransLink Store holiday pop-up shop will be open from 12 pm to 6 pm on Tuesday, December 10 and Wednesday, December 11, 2024.
The kiosk will be located inside the heritage Waterfront Station building — within the concourse connecting the Expo Line, West Coast Express, and SeaBus (not to be confused for the TransLink Customer Service Centre office).
While purchases made online at the TransLink Store website can be shipped, the store notes potential delays in delivery in time for Christmas 2024, even when using alternate carriers like Canpar, due to the ongoing Canada Post strike. This makes the physical pop-up store at Waterfront Station an excellent alternative for securing TransLink-themed gifts in time for the holidays.
