“This isn’t goodbye—it’s see you soon”: Estratto Coffee announces closure

It’s sad to see it, but another Vancouver cafe has announced it will be closing its doors. This time, it’s Estratto Coffee.

The cafe took to Instagram to share that its time at 260 E 5th Avenue, Vancouver, will be coming to an end.

“Our sublease is ending, and the new leaseholder has chosen not to keep us in this space,” said the cafe on Instagram.

Estratto Coffee is encouraging people to come by before December 15, its last day, to “share a coffee, a memory, or just a smile.”

However, the cafe has shared that this isn’t a permanent goodbye but rather a “see you soon.”

“Mount Pleasant is our home, and we’re working hard to find a way to stay in this amazing community,” said Estratto.

Estratto calls itself a “tiny neighbourhood cafe” and serves a small menu of classic cafe drinks and baked goods.
