4 Nations rosters revealed for Canada, USA, Sweden, Finland

After months of speculations and projections, we have finally learned the rosters for all four teams participating in the upcoming 4 Nations Face-Off tournament.

Though Team Canada and Team USA’s rosters have yet to be officially revealed, several insiders have predicted who will be representing their respective countries at this best-on-best event. Here’s a look at all four rosters.

Canada

The Canadians will be a very strong team in this tournament, though their biggest concern is between the pipes. This list, which was predicted by the TSN Hockey Insiders, features plenty of names fans expected to see, although there were a few surprises.

Sam Reinhart – Connor McDavid – Mitch Marner
Brad Marchand – Sidney Crosby – Nathan MacKinnon
Brandon Hagel – Brayden Point – Mark Stone
Sam Bennett – Anthony Cirelli – Travis Konecny
Seth Jarvis

Devon Toews – Cale Makar
Shea Theodore – Alex Pietrangelo
Josh Morrissey – Colton Parayko
Travis Sanheim

Jordan Binnington
Adin Hill
Sam Montembeault

Up front, Cirelli wasn’t a name that popped up on a ton of lists, though his strong defensive abilities make him a solid fourth-line centre. The biggest surprise to most is Jarvis, who will be the team’s 13th forward. He was able to win the job over several other deserving candidates, including Connor Bedard, Steven Stamkos, and Zach Hyman.

As for the back end, Parayko and Sanheim’s inclusion caught some eyes. They were able to land spots over others who many expected to see, including Evan Bouchard and MacKenzie Weegar.

The goaltending isn’t much of a shock, as it was reported last week that Binnington and Hill were expected to crack the roster. That said, few projected Montbembeault to grab the third-string role over guys like Logan Thompson and Stuart Skinner.

USA

Long gone are the days when Canada was viewed as the heavy favourite heading into these types of events. The Americans figure to be their hardest test at this specific tournament, as their lineup, as predicted by Daily Faceoff’s Frank Seravalli, is loaded with talent.

Jake Guentzel – Auston Matthews – Matthew Tkachuk
Kyle Connor – Jack Eichel – Jack Hughes
J.T. Miller – Dylan Larkin – Matt Boldy
Chris Kreider – Vincent Trochek – Brady Tkachuk
Brock Nelson

Quinn Hughes – Charlie McAvoy
Jaccob Slavin – Adam Fox
Zach Werenski – Brock Faber
Noah Hanifin

Connor Hellebuyck
Jake Oettinger
Jeremy Swayman

As stacked as this team is, seeing names like Kreider, Trocheck, and Nelson caught some by surprise. They were able to round out the forward group over some other hopefuls, including Tage Thompson, Cole Caufield, Jason Robertson and Brock Boeser.

As for the blue line, there are no real surprises, although Hanifin had some serious competition for the seventh spot. Ultimately, he was able to beat out the likes of John Carlson, Neal Pionk, and Ryan McDonagh, amongst others.

The goaltending was as expected. Thatcher Demko likely would have had an opportunity but has been unable to play this season due to injury.

Sweden

This roster is 100% confirmed, as both Sweden and Finland announced their lineups earlier this afternoon. Though the Swedes aren’t considered the favourites heading into this event, their roster is more than capable of winning gold.

Filip Forsberg – Mika Zibanejad – William Nylander
Jesper Bratt – Elias Pettersson – Adrian Kempe
William Karlsson – Joel Eriksson Ek – Lucas Raymond
Leo Carlsson – Elias Lindholm – Gustav Nyquist
Viktor Arvidsson

Victor Hedman – Rasmus Dahlin
Gustav Forsling – Rasmus Andersson
Mattias Ekholm – Erik Karlsson
Jonas Brodin

Jacob Markstrom
Filip Gustavsson
Linus Ullmark

The one surprise up front is Arvidsson, who has struggled this season with only five points through 16 games. Nonetheless, he was able to knock off other forwards vying for a spot, such as Mikael Backlund, William Eklund, and Rickard Rakell.

There are no real surprises on the back end, though Brodin’s name had been left off some other projected lists, with others such as Adam Larsson and Hampus Lindholm being considered.

The goaltending for this team was always a lock, and the only question is who will start. Markstrom is likely the favourite to do so, though Gustavsson’s strong start to the season makes him an interesting consideration.

Finland

Finland is considered the long shot to win this tournament, but they can’t be taken lightly. They have plenty of skill up front, along with one of the best goalies in the league in Juuse Saros.

Artturi Lehkonen – Aleksander Barkov – Mikko Rantanen
Teuvo Teravainen – Sebastian Aho – Patrik Laine
Erik Haula – Roope Hintz – Mikael Granlund
Eetu Luostarinen – Anton Lundell – Kaapo Kakko
Joel Armia

Miro Heiskanen – Rasmus Ristolainen
Esa Lindell – Jani Hakanpaa
Niko Mikkola – Olli Maatta
Juuso Valimaki

Juuse Saros
Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen
Kevin Lankinen

There aren’t a ton of shocks for this team, though Matias Maccelli seems to be a bit of a snub after recording 57 points in 2023-24. The one name fans may be surprised to see instead of him is Armia.

On the blue line, Hakanpaa was able to earn a spot after recently making his season debut with the Toronto Maple Leafs. His inclusion likely played into Henri Jokiharju failing to make the cut.

Lankinen was able to earn a spot in what will presumably be a third-string role over Joonas Korpisalo, though that isn’t a major surprise given how well he’s played for the Vancouver Canucks this season.
