We’ve got some news that might peak your interest: Peaked Pies is expanding once again with a new Vancouver location.
“Get ready for authentic Aussie pies, great coffee, and that signature Peaked Pies vibe in Vancouver’s vibrant West Broadway neighbourhood,” announced Peaked Pies on Instagram.
For those unfamiliar, Peaked Pies specializes in Australian meat pies, which are topped with mushy peas and mashed potatoes covered in gravy.
At Peaked Pies, you can find a variety of pie flavours, like sausage roll (ground beef, onion, and garlic), beef curry (ground beef in a madras curry sauce with carrots and celery), and chunky pepper steak (chunky steak pieces in a brown mushroom sauce). When you order one of these pies, you’re given the option to “get peaked,” which piles on the previously mentioned mushy peas, mashed potatoes, and gravy on top of your pie.
Peaked Pies first opened in Whistler and then opened its Vancouver location in 2016. In 2020, the spot opened a Burnaby outpost.
An opening date for the new location has yet to be announced, but Peaked Pies did say it expects to be open in 2025.
