An Ontario lottery player is looking forward to a very merry Christmas after winning a hefty prize.
Woodstock resident Stefan Mueller is $50,000 richer after nabbing the top prize with Instant $50K Casino instant lottery game.
The construction worker has been a regular lottery player with the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) since he was old enough to play.

He has enjoyed some smaller wins over the years but is thrilled to share the news of his first big win.
“I was playing my ticket when I noticed one of my Lucky Numbers matched,” Mueller said while visiting the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his windfall.
“Then, I saw that this match came with a $50,000 prize! I called my parents to share the exciting news, and my father responded, ‘Good job, son!’”
Mueller told the OLG that he had important plans with his lottery windfall.
“This win feels great because it gives me an opportunity for a fresh start,” he smiled.
“I plan to use my winnings to pay some bills. I’m also a new dad, so this is my chance to ensure my daughter has a wonderful first Christmas,” he concluded.
Mueller bought his winning lottery ticket at Dundas Mini Mart on Dundas Street in Woodstock.
