Silov’s AHL stint was brief as the Canucks sent him down to call up top prospect Jonathan Lekkerimaki in a Sunday morning roster move that involved five players.
The 23-year-old got the start in Abbotsford’s 4-2 win against the Bakersfield Condors, logging a .920 SV%
Silovs has seen a rough start to his NHL season, though. The Latvia native is 0-2-1 with Vancouver this year, posting a 3.17 GAA and .876 SV%.
The Canucks will host the Calgary Flames on Tuesday night.
