Get ready, North Vancouver; Fresh St. Market is officially opening in your neck of the woods.
The new grocery store, located at 150 Esplanade West, is opening its doors after the space gradually transitioned from an IGA into Fresh St. Market.
In a press release, Fresh St. Market announced that it will host an opening celebration on November 15 with “samplings and surprises throughout the store.”
“We are proud to officially open Fresh St. Market in Lower Lonsdale and wish to sincerely thank our customers for their patience during renovations and we also offer gratitude for the positivity and encouragement we have been hearing from so many people in the local community,” said Palle Knudsen, Senior Director Retail Operations, Fresh St. Market.
This location will feature a hot meal self-service bar, carving station, Fresh St. Market’s first-ever burrito bar, and seating to enjoy your food.
Additionally, you’ll be able to shop for plenty of local products, such as fresh poultry sourced from the Fraser Valley, cheese from Golden Ears Cheesecrafters in Maple Ridge, and coffee from Whistler’s Forecast Coffee.
As part of the grand opening, Fresh St. Market shared on Instagram that there will be doing random giveaways and tastings throughout the day, as well as holding an “amazing 4 day sale.”
This new location will also be partnering with FoodMesh to rescue and distribute surplus foods to vulnerable people in the communities.
“We are absolutely thrilled to be partnering with Fresh St. Market’s new store to ensure all of its unsalable food is redistributed to local hunger-relief organizations,” said Jessica Regan, CEO and co-founder of FoodMesh. “This partnership is a true testament to Fresh St. Market’s commitment to keeping its unsold food out of waste streams, which has already helped to create 2.3 million meals for people in need since we started working together in April 2020.”
Doors to the new store open at 7 am, and the ribbon cutting is scheduled for 10 am on November 15.
