PWHL releases slick new jerseys for each of its teams

The PWHL is entering its second season in style.

Today, the Professional Women’s Hockey League announced a set of home and away jerseys for each of its teams, a much-awaited launch ahead of the PWHL’s sophomore campaign.

After playing its inaugural season without official team names, logos, or stylized jerseys, the new uniforms help to give the league an added sense of professional identity.

“Players and fans alike have been waiting for this moment and we couldn’t be happier with the six unique looks each team will don moving forward,” said Amy Scheer, PWHL senior vice president of business operations. “These jerseys mark the latest evolution in our league’s history, and we can’t wait to see them showcased both on the ice and in the stands.”

Each team has a dark home jersey and a light road jersey, akin to the NHL or other high-level teams. While five of the league’s six teams use white as their base colour on the road, the Montreal Victoire have opted for more of a cream-coloured look.

The league, which began playing games earlier this year, has been toying with expansion as soon as 2026. While the league has yet to confirm the markets it has been exploring, The Fourth Period’s David Pagnotta suggested Detroit, Calgary, and Pittsburgh as top contenders for adding a team. It is not clear how many new teams the next wave of expansion may bring in.

The league’s preseason will kick off later this month, with the first games being played on November 20. Just 10 days later, they’ll start to count for real, with all six teams in action the weekend of November 30-December 1.
