It’s been a rough year for Vancouver restaurants, and now another long-standing pub has closed its doors.
Signs in the windows at Johnnie Fox’s Irish Pub indicate that the building is available for lease, and the curtains have been drawn in all the windows.
Additionally, Google lists the spot as “Permanently Closed.” However, the pub has yet to announce a closure on its social media.
Johnnie Fox’s first opened its doors in 2004 at 1033 Granville Street, and then it moved to its current location at 1601 Main Street.
The spot was best known for its pints of Guinness and its hearty breakfast, lunch, and dinner dishes.
