2 women arrested in Prince George after both allegedly crash SUV into same truck

Two women suspected of driving drunk and crashing into the same vehicle were arrested in Prince George last week.

Around noon on Tuesday, Oct. 29, the Prince George RCMP responded to a report of a collision in a parking lot on Central Street near 15th Avenue.

Police say the driver of a black SUV had reportedly struck the bumper of a parked pickup truck in the lot.

“Witnesses stated that after the first collision, the driver and passenger switched spots in the vehicle,” Corp. Jennifer Cooper said.

But Cooper says it didn’t go well for the second driver either.

“When the now-driver attempted to leave the parking lot, she ended up striking the same parked car as the original driver, as well as a witness who was near the parked vehicle.”

Cooper adds that no injuries were reported in the incident.

The two occupants of the SUV were arrested on suspicion of impaired operation of a motor vehicle. Mounties say they were taken to the Prince George RCMP detachment to provide breath samples.

“Both women registered over the legal limit and were served with 24-hour driving prohibitions, as well as administrative 90-day driving prohibitions, and will appear in court at a future date,” said Cooper.

She says the incident remains under investigation.
