A North Vancouver father is ready to treat his family to a “Concert of a Lifetime” this December.
Avid music fan Douglas Lenhart is off to an “Enchanted” evening at BC Place after the British Columbia Lottery Corporation called to tell him that he had won the Grand Prize of the recent Scratch & Win Lottery ticket – a VIP suite at BC Place for him and 13 guests for one of the biggest shows of the year.
Lenhart shared that he was planning on bringing family and close friends to the show on December 6, 2024. “I’m the music lover! I plan on bringing my son and his wife and my girlfriend.”
“I’ve never been in a box suite before. I know my son and his wife are going to freak out.”

When Daily Hive asked BCLC whether the grand prize tickets and suite at BC Place would be for one of Taylor Swift’s show, the organization wouldn’t confirm.
“Apart from being one of the world’s biggest multi-platinum artists, they also have a reputation of being an amazing performer. We’re excited that the grand prize winner can bring 13 guests to experience the concert of a lifetime,” Shelley Wong with the BCLC said.
The first of Swift’s The Eras Tour dates is on Friday, December 6, which coincides with the date that the grand prize winner must use the VIP Suite at BC Place. Only 250,000 tickets were issued across the province.

Lenhart, who purchased the winning ticket from the Town Pantry on Lonsdale Avenue in North Vancouver, plans on donating four seats in his VIP suite to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
When asked how it felt to win the grand prize and to see the highly anticipated concert at BC Place, he added that he was thrilled.
“It’s crazy. I can’t believe that I’ve won, I’m so excited!”
