Mostly dry forecast for trick-or-treating hours in Lower Mainland

It looks like the Halloween forecast for the Lower Mainland is more treat than trick this year.

1130 NewsRadio Vancouver Meteorologist Carl Lam says those getting a head start around 5 p.m. Thursday should see temperatures around 10 degrees.

Darkness and chills will set in around 5:51 p.m., when the sun sets and Halloween Night begins.

“Then as we go toward the six and seven o’clock hour, temperatures should be around nine degrees,” says Lam.

“Still mostly cloudy, and we do have the chance for a few isolated showers to work their way through, but the bulk of the rain comes as we go toward about 10 to 11 o’clock.”

Overall, he says most of the trick-or-treating window should be dry, with a small chance of “rogue showers” popping up.
