A Trail man is lucky to have escaped unharmed after crashing his vehicle while reaching for a piece of chicken on the highway.
Trail RCMP say they responded to a car crashed into a barrier along Highway 3 on Sunday, April 7.
Mounties say, when they arrived at the scene and questioned the driver, he said he was reaching over for a bite of fried chicken when his car smashed into the barricade.
The driver was uninjured in the accident.
Mounties are urging the public to stay focused on the road, reminding drivers that distracted driving causes most fatal crashes in B.C.
