Police say a construction worker has died after a workplace incident Wednesday afternoon.
In a release, the West Shore RCMP says they got reports of an “unresponsive male” around 12:50 p.m. at a construction site near Pinehurst Place.
Police and BC Emergency Health Services performed life-saving measures but the man in his mid-20s succumbed to his injuries at the site.
Police say Work Safe BC and the BC Coroner’s Service have been informed.
They say no further information is available right now, but police are continuing their investigation and working to inform the man’s family.
“West Shore RCMP extends their condolences to the friends and family of the deceased man,” the RCMP said in a release.
