Delta police are asking for the public’s help finding an 83-year-old man who went missing Sunday.
Police say the man, only identified as William, left his home around 10 a.m. and did not return around 5 p.m. as planned.
The Delta Police Department says someone reported a possible sighting around 3 p.m. Sunday near Scott Road and 85 Avenue, adding that William may be in a confused state.
“We are asking residents of North Delta and Surrey who live near this location to check their yards, sheds, cars, and property, specifically looking for William,” the DPD said in a release Monday.
“Search and Rescue has been mobilized and will be checking this area as well.”
William is described as 6’2”, 196 pound white man, with grey, balding hair and brown eyes. He may be wearing a dark polo shirt and beige or ‘light-coloured’ pants.
If you locate William, you are asked to stay by his side and call the DPD at 604-946-4411.
