According to a new poll, if a provincial election were to be held today, the BC Conservatives would squeak by with a victory.
A recent survey from Mainstreet Research put the BC Conservatives at 36 per cent support — in second place, the BC NDP polled at 33 per cent.
BC United, formerly known as the BC Liberals, is tied with the Green Party at 10 per cent support.
But another nine per cent of people polled aren’t sure where to cast their vote.
Mainstreet says the poll was conducted via phone interviews with 962 adults living in B.C. between Aug. 15 and Aug. 17. It has a reported margin of error of 3.2 per cent.
The poll provided limited analysis of the results, but said the BC Conservatives are leading “despite losing in the Metro Vancouver area.”
The provincial election is set for Oct. 19.
