The Lower Mainland has seen quite a lot of cloud cover over the last few days, and it might be high time to get the umbrella back out.
1130 NewsRadio meteorologist Carl Lam explains there’s been the potential for rain all week.
“There’s a very light chance that we bring out a few showers from that cloud cover that’s going to be hanging over Metro Vancouver for most of the day on Friday, but the better chance is a system that is going to spin up as we go into Saturday,” he explained.
Lam says those showers could linger into Sunday morning before clearing up by the end of the weekend.
“It will be with us as we go into the afternoon and evening of Saturday, even lingering into Sunday morning before this starts to just work its way up the coast and kind of clear out of Metro Vancouver. So I would say the second half of Sunday is looking a little more promising.”
Temperatures will feel more like a typical Metro Vancouver summer than the heat waves we saw recently.
“Not talking about any serious heat as we go from Friday into the weekend, and even into next week. Temperatures are actually running below average, as it’s only going to be in the upper teens and low 20s,” Lam added.
