Canada’s Melissa Humana-Paredes and Brandie Wilkerson earned the women’s beach volleyball silver medal on Friday at the Paris Olympics.
The Toronto duo, ranked No. 7 in the world, fell to No. 1-ranked Ana Patricia and Duda of Brazil in three sets.
Canadian athletes have never reached the podium in the women’s event at the Olympics, with a fifth-place finish in Tokyo in 2021 the best result to date.
