Stay away from downtown Prince George, RCMP says, amid ‘high-risk’ investigation

People in Prince George are being asked to stay out of the downtown area as police investigate a “high-risk” situation.

The RCMP says officers are looking into a potential bomb threat at the courthouse, located at 250 George Street.

Mounties say multiple roads are blocked off, with the public urged to “obey police officers and bylaw officers as they redirect all pedestrian and vehicle traffic away from that area.”

Few details have been provided at this time, though police say the courthouse has been evacuated.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
